Many animals have the capacity to feel basic emotions. Now
there are hints that even honeybees may be able to experience more than just their honey.
Very exciting research from Newcastle University has shown that bees
make pessimistic decisions after they have been shaken vigorously. The shaking
was very stressful for the bees. Of course, this doesn’t mean that it is
absolutely certain that bees can feel emotions. But it’s interesting to note
that humans make similar pessimistic decisions when they are stressed!
